Too soon?
I don’t think we covered Christmas last year at MFH at all, but it’s just been decided that I am hosting Christmas this year. Coinciding with this I saw a picture of vintage Christmas decorations on Toot As In Foot and remembered once again how much I’m hankering for some vintage glass tree baubles.
I’m talking about this kind of thing, photographed on Kitschen Pink’s flickr page.
But alas sets less nice and less complete than this are going for £25 plus on eBay. And before I invest I need to remind myself that I ought to prioritize buying the following:
A big table
A carving knife
A microwave
A roasting pan
I’ve never even cooked a chicken, so you can see why I need to make my plans early.
Never even cooked a chicken! Your Grandmother and aunts would be horrified. I blame your parents for sending you to that rubbish finishing school instead of somewhere you could learn practical skills.
I used to have a set of those paper children in their underwear and spent many happy hours dressing them in different sets of paper clothes. Ahhh!
Fear not! I’m doing a chicken-practice run for some friends in a couple of weeks. And I’ve been there while someone else has cooked one.
Those little cardboard children are cute aren’t they. I can just imagine little you with one x
