Tiny town
When I was about 10 I bought a row of pastel coloured ceramic buildings while on holiday on Cornwall. A weird, twee gift to myself that ended up at the charity shop a few years later. But what if those buildings had been The Whitechapel Gallery?
This miniature building is by archtiectural model-makers Chisel & Mouse, whose collection also includes Battersea Power Station and Broadcasting House. The ornaments cost around £89 and I like them. But the question is this: Cool street art for your mantlepiece or weird, twee gift to myself?
Kooky souvenir for friends, perhaps?
Or advertising product?! GG
