Sofa swoon
OK, so I have a very elegant 50s danish sofa. It’s got one wonky leg and after a whole evening in front of the X Factor it’s not that comfortable, but that’s a price worth paying.
It came from eBay covered in moss green fabric and for ages I’ve been thinking about recovering it. Maybe charcoal grey I was thinking. And then I saw this, and my heart skipped several beats.
Pinky velvet toning with the insides of those antelope ears? My living room could take some of that. I currently watching yards of pink vintage velvet on eBay and wondering whether me and the hand-turn Singer are up to the job of doing the upholstery. Now I have the idea in my head, suddenly slightly saggy velvet on sofas is leaping out at me from all over the place. Also loving this gold version.
Nobody better do somersaults on my one though or the wonky leg’ll give out for sure. Both these pictures are from French magazine, Milk, of which more later in the week. Because it’s full of covetable homes. Sigh.
Pink! Do it pink. I’m sure you and the machine are up to it.
