Charlotte Cory playing cards
I’ve had this pack of playing cards by artist and writer Charlotte Cory for some time and have been weighing up whether to put some of them into a black frame for my wall.
Thing is, I’m not an avid cards player and therefore don’t get to enjoy the artistry of the cards all that often. Equally, I’m on the fence about whether framing things that aren’t really meant for framing is a good idea. Here’s a version I knocked up to try it on for size.
The fact that flamboyant composition ideas have been playing on my mind since I photographed this makes me think it’s going to end up a travesty. Maybe I should just start a poker circle.
