Heart Home magazine review
Yesterday saw the launch of a new online interiors magazine for the UK, Heart Home. Have you seen it? Then have a gander here. It’s only coming out four times a year and seems to be a joint venture between three interiors bloggers – does anyone know any more?
This is from a feature on Margate’s own Zoe Murphy, and below is their first cover.
My opinion? Well the content is very blog-based, in that if you read the rounds of blogs then the names, faces and spaces may well be familiar. Although it was good to see the mysterious Lobster and Swan’s face and house (below).
I also found some of the features bit random – What to Wear to Design Week? I already know that – it’s clogs, a Bretton top and a satchel. Contemplating…
Red and grey. The above picture of Myfavouriteandmybest’s living room reminded me. But it was My Friend’s Habitat table (sadly on longer on sale) that started it. Just sayin’.
Still cutting the mustard
Mustard and grey still in? Maybe it’s working – and now not working – on a monthly interiors mag. I just can’t get used to how long trends hang around in the real world, away from ‘Trend of the Month’ and all that. But I’m not complaining, because it’ll give me time to save up […]
Trend or travesty: Ercol rap
That’s wrap, obviously. The talented wool worrier Donna Wilson recently exhibited these wrapped Ercol chairs. The first two are the Ercol designs that I’ve been craving for my kitchen. So tell me, is this idea a cashmere cardi, or a dropped stitch?
