My Friend’s….Fundraiser
I’m involved in a fundraiser taking place mid November. I’m having to go around asking folk for raffle prizes and everything (wait for it…). The idea came from our friend Ruth, who’s gathered a squad of South London ladies to help her put together an afternoon of live music with tea, drinks and cake in Nunhead community pub The Ivy House. All proceeds are going to our local Refugee centre – Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network – as the idea stems from a collective horror about Syria. Ruth was at Glastonbury when BrexShit happened and came home to a Facebook page full of moaning so decided to channel despair into something proactive. Go Ruth. Anyway, we’re looking for crazy great prizes for our Raffle, from businesses in S E London and beyond…. can you help?
PLEASE NOTE THE BELOW IMAGE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FUNDRAISER AND THOSE WHO ARE ATTENDING, BUT WAS CHOSEN AS AN ANNOYING AND STIRRING REMINDER ABOUT THE STATE OF THIS COUNTRY.

Perving over plans at Jardi Marimurtra
I got swept up in life the second we got back from our summer this year and forgot to post anything to do with it. We spent a week near Palamos, in the Costa Brava then a week in Cadaques where Salvador Dali lived. It was a really pretty part of Spain and I’ve just […]
Seasonal furniture shuffle
Ah, autumn. Mists, mellow fruitfulness and the X-Factor being on. After a glorious summer here it is hard to face the fact that autumn is upon us – but a dip in the sea on Friday confirmed it. The light is beautiful but the heat is going out of everything. I have of course taken […]
Another person’s tile drama, but this time bathrooms
The most unreal news in my life for the past few years is that we bought a plot of land in the highlands and are building a house on it. It’s not lost on me how unbelievably lucky this makes us, but skimming over that swiftly….we’ve got an interior designer on board. Her name is […]
