Nude vs Rude
My Friend and I enjoyed the Guardian’s home section over the weekend. It’s been a bit skimpy of late, but this Saturday there was a proper house, highlighting the ‘nude’ decorating trend. AND… a comments section. I’ve never noticed one on there before, but if you want to see how the mean-spirited roll (or add some snark of your own) then I suggest you go and check it out.
The house in question belongs to the writer and stylist Kate Jacobs, who has worked for all the interiors magazines you can think of. Her own blog, Interiors Nut, is great for shopping tips, and also has lots of photos that show her home off rather better than the G did. I covet all of her collections, photographed by herself, below.
And you have to admire someone who can talk knowledgeably about the Golden Section vis-a-vis vase arrangement. Ignore the haters Kate! They wouldn’t know ‘nude’ from Magnolia.
I couldn’t agree more, I love Kate’s home and blogged about it a few weeks ago. Just don’t get why people are so catty about those with taste!

Someone actually posted ‘horrible’. I wonder what their lovely home looks like.
Thanks for the link – enjoyed looking at your blog.
Lovely vase arrangement. The vintage wooden ice bucket is quite cool too.
