Nice bins
Yes it really has come to this. I’m actually posting a blog about bins. It’s just, I’ve spent some years in research as to what a nice bin looks like and thought what you’d really want this friday was my findings. I give you…
Or as the website shop has it, ‘Wonderfully Preserved Vintage Industrial Relic Office Clerks Wire Waste Basket.’
Here’s a slightly different example, without such a memorable name.
The planets were really aligned this week as I also got news of these bins from Areaware in my inbox. They remind me ever so slightly of those super Marni chairs.
Yes, I did just liken some bins to designer chairs.
Do you want the blurb? These are fair trade bins made by the indigenous Aeta people of the Philippines using sustainably harvested rattan and traditional basket weaving techniques.
Yes, owing just one of those bins will make you a better person.
You’re welcome.
Not sure if owning the mutant part cane-work part recycled B&Q orange bucket would make me feel a better person, but then I’m so not cutting edge.
We’re so cutting edge we wrote about bins, but yes hearing your point. x
I feel your pain, there are no nice bins out there. We resort to using the nicest shopping bag we have. (which doubles up as an excuse to shop in nice places)
