New shop in Clerkers

Stumbled across the shop Forest in Clerkenwell last week and thought it really sweet. How do you like those yellow window frames?

The shop was set up by LCF fashion student Eva Coppens and as you can see her thing is Mid Century Scandinavian design. Eva herself, by the way, was the lovely smiley vision of a shop keeper, which never hurts.

Sorry My Friend if this next image exacerbates your Cretaphobia . I thought this quite a sweet way of pricing up stock.

The other thing you might notice is the lovely printed upholstery. It’s by Tamasyn Gambell, in her first furniture collaboration, says Eva. There are three prints available in various colour ways and the collection also includes cushions and lampshades.

Oh. I have been in there and every time wish I had a house to fill up.

A friend of mine has just brought a house and every time we walk past there we pop in to nose at the furniture he may or may not buy (it’s not far from where I live). They do upholstery in their nice fabric too, which he’s having them do on an old chair of his parents.

Yes, I think it’s just as well I don’t live around the corner from here.
