Luna & Curious

Have you mooched around the Boundary Estate lately? It feels a lot like a swanky shopping district in Manhattan. Something it definitely didn’t resemble nine-or-so years ago when I lived nearby. It’s just the right place for lovely interiors shop Luna & Curious (and Ally Capellino across the road), which moved here from Brick Lane around a year ago.

You know you’ve arrived when there’s a bench and a potted olive tree outside.

The shop’s three founders, ceramists Polly George and Kaoru Parry, and jeweller Rheanna Lingham – have assembled a lovely selection of their own wares alongside pieces from others including jeweller Eleanor Bolton and baby clothesware brand the Minature Knit Shop.

I was tempted by Kaoru’s excellent striped series (left) and Polly’s bathroom collection (right).

The trio are also dab hands at grouping and display. I’m looking at you upside-down-legs-with-yellow-tights-on.

And, if you do plan a visit, take your gentlemen friend with you. There’s a great barber shop occupying the adjoining gallery space just now, which just looked like a pretty nice place to sit for a bit.
