Loving the lamé

It looks like another badly composed image of mine…

It’s not! Well, it sort of is, but it’s also me capturing the least impressive, most insignificant corner of the Bloomingville stand at Home trade show. Nooooo, not because I’m hopeless. It was in the name of snapping that lamé cushion, which looked like it had been chucked on the stand last minute.

A love of gold and silver shiny fabric has, thus far, been more focussed on what I want to wear (you should see what I’ve bookmarked on ASOS).

I hadn’t even considered the possibility of working lame fabrics into the home. Then to back up the Bloomingville moment, the latest H&M collection made itself known this week.

Boom, it’s a trend. At £3.99 for that cushion cover, it wouldn’t be the most expensive mistake you could make either.

Me too – although Jill was wearing a gold lame wrap-over skirt in the office the other day that looked like a turban in skirt form.
