If you like it then you should stick a pin in it
Is it just me who thinks these pin cushions are ace? Quite the antidote to Cath Kidston’s sewing kit, anyway. Spotted yesterday at the Barbican pop-up shop at Clerkenwell Design week, they’ll be available from the 10 June in the permanent shop in conjunction with The Surreal House exhibition. I’m afraid my journalistic skills went awol in the excitement of them and I didn’t jot down the designer’s name, so you’ll have to head over to the shop yourself for that. I can tell you that a whole world of weird comes up from typing ‘animal pin cushions’ into google. Though nothing quite as weird as that Lladro family portrait My Friend.
Wowsers – it’s not just you, these are awesome! Thinking up a reason to justify needing a miniature animal figurine with a pincushion head now. Fab post title BTW x
I too am searching for a reason! It certainly isn’t sewing, more’s the pity.
i can’t believe i am on the internet searching for the designer’s name that went with this pincushion. i remember it was a japanese name.
If you find it let me know! You remember more than me, I’m impressed.
i’m so terrible, i’ve emailed barbican. once i find out i’ll POST IT HERE!!
