Colour Makes People Happy is the front for Siecle, a Dutch brand of paints by Dofine that’s been around London for a while with its lovely odd shops, painted clog wall displays and promise of an eco-friendlier hue.

But there’s more than just paint here. For instance, you can buy that bike. Also, those coloured ropes on the hanger? Lovely drapey light flex. I’m seconds away from buying every last one for this house. And the clog aeroplane below is actually a little paint-and-build kit for kids – shop owner Simon is in the process of creating a ‘craft’ area so they can do it in store. Genius for a neighbourhood where prams are the primary ride.

Last thing, all the Siecle colours are good for outdoor use.
