Her House is back
Around five years ago there was a cool shop in Clerkenwell called Her House. It belonged to artist / designer Morag Myerscough who lived upstairs and knew how to throw a good shop party. I have fond memories of surveying eclectic goods with my old flatmate at one of these events, seeing top celeb Archie-from-Monarch-Of-The-Glen and buying a pink candelabra that is so not me, but called to me after one complimentary drink. I don’t know what happened to Clerkenwell, but Her House seems to be back – this time, as an exhibition in Hoxton, 10-12 Dec. Behold the kind of stuff you can expect to find…
Nice. The ceramics are by artist / writer / illustrator Vicky Thornton who is co-creator of the exhibition, as are those seat pads – made from her collection of 50’s and 60’s vintage textiles. Also on show is Morag’s chair collection and new products launching under the Her House Gallery label. Suggest you get yourself there, I see no pink candelabras to lead you astray.
Wow, beautiful! Sounds like such a good idea, I can definitely imagine myself purchasing with gay abandon after a free drink!
