The Danes are white hot at design. Fact. So it’s no surprise that Danish company Hay has many decorator-obsessives in a tizz – even if their presence outside of Denmark is not enormous. Myself, I sometimes look up the Dot blankets, available here, on the internet just so I can sit and imagine them in my bedroom (don’t judge).

Then, last night I interviewed an incredibly tasteful Danish architect who had a Hay dining table in her house. One thing led to another and, voila here’s a bunch of lovely items by Hay…

A design-writer friend who moved to Copenhagen recently – and promises a rover-style report on her new local knowledge soon – assures me she’s been developing a quiet addiction herself now that’s she’s within walking distance (I’m imagining) of a Hay shop. Check it out…envy, envy.
