Flo’s house
That’s Florence in her house in S E London as shot for Vogue. Wow, I’m loving her white legs. But let’s take a closer look at that room…
Ok, so the wall colour yes – especially with that purple lamp (not the base though). And yes to the half pattern / half block colour curtains. I can sort of get behind the striped mustard sofa and the art is quite good, though it could be more tightly grouped if we’re getting picky (we are). But there’s something slightly amiss for me in Flo’s place, which can be summed up in the kitchen.
It all feels a bit grown up / Mum & Dad’s house for someone cool. I feel like my 15-year-old self has been in that kitchen. Probably when a friend had an empty.
I guess it’s nice that there’s nothing predictably hipster about the place – not a single succulent in sight. And I do think that panelled ceiling in high gloss paint is ace.

Hmmm, it says to me Elderly Person That Has Had To Downsize. Styling is almost ok, but yes, has too much of a whiff of the old for me. Also a while ago you, The My Friend Peoples, asked what we hated about styling shots [I think], well it’s a firm ‘Take down the bloody dresses/kimono’s from the walls’ from me, I mean Florence, it’s in the bathroom, are you trying to steam the creases out?!

Never mind the white legs, get a look at the Dior pumps! Love them. Her home may have been styled by her parents but I like it. Probably because I’m old enough to be her mother. Bit of a “French brocante” influence in places.
