Finnish nest dolls and a bit of Moomin news
Remember I went to Helsinki back in April and reported as though I was a spiritual culture vulture above consuming anything? Well I’m over all that now and ready to share with you What I Bought…
…a peculiar Russian / Matryoshka doll style acorn ornament. I found it in Lokal Helsinki, but in fact there’s a whole shop outside the train station in Helsinki dedicated to strange things based on the same concept. The shop, a tiny shop that was very crammed, is called Salakauppa (Secret Shop) and it comes from Aamu Song & Johan Olin’s design practice COMPANY.
My favourite thing in it was the brilliant but brilliantly expensive fruit.
Here’s also, a bud blossoming into roses.
Couverture has just started selling them if you’re interested.
