Clerkenwell design week
Hey, I know I promised you highlights from Made in Clerkenwell, but your roving reporter came down with a chest infection and missed it, so I urge you to nip over to Stylist’s Own for her picks. I did drag my recovering ass – one deaf ear and all – over to Clerkenwell design week for what is best described as a trolley dash with some confusing conversations (owing to the ear). Let’s start with the things I really, really, really wanted for my own house.
Cute armchairs from Crystal Palace’s own Assembly Room. One two-seater please, in pale grey with a yellow button.
Perfect colours from Cornish design company Mark. See the full collection of furniture and lighting here. The Net chairs (top) are by Sam Johnson. Those Spin tables by Tomoko Azumi (below left) and Shaper by Kay + Stemmer (right) are going to go beautifully with my pale grey two-seater (in the living room in my mind).
Finally, more occasional tables, chairs and stools from (clockwise from top left) Coal Design, Patternity, Warm, Scene (make sure you find their brilliant tape-measure-inspired coat hooks if you go to the website) and Tom Dixon.
I’ll definitely be going to this event next year with more than an hour to spare.
