Charlene Mullen shop
Charlene Mullen has opened a pop up shop on the lovely Calvert avenue – right next door to Ally Capellino. It’s only open until the end of this weekend – quick! – but is en route to becoming a permanent shop, which the designer hopes to open at the end of October. As well as her own beautiful cushions, wall hangings, tablecloths and lampshades, Charlene is selling wares from Eleanor Pritchard, Daniel Reynolds and – someone I hadn’t heard of before – John Alfredo Harris. He’s a whizz with wood from what I can tell. Also, those green plates by Owen Wall that we mentioned a while back.
She’s created a great space painted in deep blue, with several long dining tables elaborately propped with tableware, flowers and grapes. They’re like a series of still lives from a 16th Century Renaissance painting.
Charelene Mullen, at 7 Calvert Avenue from 12-6 today and tomorrow.
Oh fantastic news. I like her textiles – and she’s a neighbour!
You have all the glamorous design neighbours!
Hi Charlene
Many congrats on your new venture and your store looks superb.
Sorry we missed Thursday’s event.
Good luck and best wishes.
