Before… and a bit better than before
Okay, so my ‘before and after’ is basically a tidy up job, but I’m so pleased with it I’ve snapped it. This trolley – and the bottles on it – have been in my possession for some time, but the dream of sipping Camparis on the chairs opposite never materialised and I think it’s because the home bar had become a dumping ground for anything, everything that was cluttering more visible surfaces. Look, there’s even an Xbox there (I have nothing to do with that).
So finally, I’ve planted my best glasses on one of the shelves, hung a bit of antler horn on the wall – as found by my Dad on the south shoulder of Beinn Man Oighreay on June 1, 2002, I know because he actually wrote that in marker pen along one side – plus a photograph of trees, relocated from a wall by the front door. It’s all looking a bit ‘Scottish lodge’ themed, but I like it.
I like it so much that I’m almost annoyed by the sunshine and lighter evenings, which threaten to take cocktail hour outdoors.
can i ask what fabric you’ve used for the curtain? cuuute! my living room is a very similar colour – it looks great.
Yes of course, it’s a fabric by Florence Broadhurst (RIP) and I got it here…
